As a Direct Support Professional (DSP), you will be pivotal in assisting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, autism, and mental health challenges. Your contributions will enable residents to live independently, achieve personal goals, and enhance their quality of life.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support & Care: Encourage and guide individuals throughout the day in accordance with person-centered and behavior plans.
- Foster a Safe Environment: Create a trusting space where individuals feel secure, supported, and respected, while upholding their rights.
- Meal Preparation & Housekeeping: Prepare meals according to dietary requirements and assist with laundry and cleaning to maintain an organized home.
- Transportation & Advocacy: Facilitate transportation to appointments, advocate for individuals’ needs, and assist with necessary documentation.
- Medication Administration: Administer prescribed medications, ensuring accurate dosages are delivered.
- 24/7 Availability: Remain alert and accessible in environments requiring continuous care.
- Supervise Daily Activities: Assist individuals with personal care, life skills, and social activities.

Qualifications:
- Required:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Minimum age of 18 years.
- Valid driver’s license.
- A compassionate and patient demeanor when working with individuals facing mental illness and co-occurring disorders.
- Preferred:
- 1-2 years of experience in healthcare, social services, or related fields (not mandatory).
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to operate in environments with potential exposure to physical aggression and infectious disease.

Pay Range: USD $16.50/hr
Schedule: Three shifts a week with an every-other-weekend rotation.
