Job Title: Direct Support Professional

Company: Beacon Specialized Living Services, Inc.

Location: Newark, OH

Pay: $16.8 per hour

AI Pay Analysis: As of October 2023, an hourly rate of $16.80 for a Direct Support Professional (DSP) in Newark, OH, is generally considered below the national average for this role. According to market data, DSPs typically earn between $18 to $20 per hour, depending on experience and the specific type of support provided. In Ohio, while costs of living can be lower than in major metropolitan areas, the pay still often trends higher than this figure, reflecting the responsibility and demands of the position. Therefore, while $16.80 may be acceptable for entry-level positions or smaller agencies, it is not competitive for attracting and retaining skilled professionals within the industry.
