The Director of IT is responsible for overseeing data management and hardware infrastructure within the organization. This role will involve developing and implementing IT strategies, harnessing artificial intelligence technologies, and maintaining robust cybersecurity protocols. Additionally, the Director will identify and deploy suitable Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems to improve operational efficiency as necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
– Supervise the collection, storage, management, and protection of data, ensuring integrity, availability, and security.
– Develop and enforce data management policies and procedures.
– Manage the company’s technology infrastructure, encompassing hardware, software, servers, networks, and end-user devices.
– Ensure the reliability and performance of hardware systems, planning and executing necessary upgrades or replacements.
– Formulate and implement IT strategies that are aligned with the organization’s overarching goals and objectives.
– Prepare and operate within budgetary constraints.
– Stay abreast of emerging technologies and trends to drive innovation and recommend ways to leverage them for enhanced business operations.
– Collaborate with senior management to identify and prioritize IT initiatives.
– Explore opportunities to integrate AI technologies for process optimization.
– Oversee the adoption of AI solutions to improve data analysis, decision-making, and operational efficiency, ensuring ethical usage.
– Develop and execute comprehensive cybersecurity strategies to safeguard company assets and monitor potential threats.
– Conduct IT security audits and investigations, ensuring compliance with relevant security standards and regulations.
– Evaluate and identify ERP systems that align with the organization’s requirements, leading implementation and integration efforts.
– Facilitate multi-site IT systems coordination via ERP and APIs, providing training and support to faculty and staff.
– Establish standards for efficiency and efficacy, making recommendations for IT infrastructure improvements.
– Create, implement, and maintain business continuity protocols to mitigate operational disruptions from emergencies or data loss.
– Identify vulnerabilities and upgrade needs, collaborating with senior management to implement necessary enhancements.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
– Recruit, train, and manage IT staff.
– Organize, schedule, and assign projects to the IT team.
– Conduct timely and constructive performance evaluations.
