Do you have HEART? In this role, you will be responsible for planning and leading daily programs and special events that enhance the lifestyle of residents while showcasing the positive aspects of life within our Senior Lifestyle Community.

– Possesses the capability to confidently lead daily community programs independently

This position reports to the Executive Director and may involve supervising other staff members.
Key Responsibilities:
– Cultivate a vibrant work environment focused on celebrating the lives of our residents
– Plan and lead daily programs within the community
– Create opportunities for team members from various departments to develop and lead programs
– Plan and execute special events for residents in collaboration with the sales and marketing teams
– Recognize and honor the individuality, diversity, and spirituality of all residents when planning programs, events, and holiday celebrations
– Build rapport with residents to encourage their participation in community programs and events
– Acknowledge, understand, and promote the SLC wellness model by providing residents with programming opportunities across seven areas of wellness: physical, social, emotional, spiritual, intellectual, vocational, and environmental
– Develop and distribute a monthly calendar of events and newsletters that adhere to SLC program and brand standards by the first day of each month
– Organize and lead outings to enhance residents’ connections with the greater community
– Establish partnerships within and outside of the community to enhance program and event offerings
– Promote the community’s lifestyle through an active social media presence and positive collaboration with sales and marketing departments
– Oversee the resident ambassador program
– Support and participate in the seasonal and holiday decoration of the community
– Ensure that program flyers, bulletin boards, and digital signage are current and meet SLC brand standards
– Perform tasks that preserve each resident’s dignity, privacy, and confidentiality
– Responsible for hiring, training, developing, and mentoring department staff in accordance with Senior Lifestyle Corporation’s Human Resources guidelines
– Secure and manage all departmental equipment and supplies
– Manage the departmental budget and expenses
– Document and maintain records necessary for effective departmental management
Qualifications:
– Level of Formal Education: A Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university; or one to two years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
– Years of Experience: Entry-level (0-3+ years)
– Type of Experience: Experience leading both small and large group events is required
– Language Skills: Proficient in English to perform job duties and effectively communicate with others
– Technical Competencies: Proficient with computer applications, including Microsoft Suite, Outlook Email, online learning portals, and social media

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in event planning, leading small and large group programs, and coordinating community partnerships is preferred, as are specialized skills such as fitness certification, musical talents, or artistic abilities.
Driving Requirements:
This position requires a valid driver’s license and the ability to drive an automobile.
Management/Supervisory Authority:
This role includes the management and supervision of associates.
