In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for planning and implementing daily programs and special events that enhance the lifestyle of residents and showcase the vibrant aspects of life in a Senior Lifestyle Community.

Reporting directly to the Executive Director, this position may include supervision of additional staff.

Key Responsibilities:

– Cultivate a joyous work atmosphere centered around celebrating residents’ lives.
– Plan and facilitate daily community programs that meet residents’ needs.
– Create opportunities for team members from various departments to develop and lead programs.
– Organize and execute special events for residents in collaboration with the sales and marketing teams.
– Honor the individuality, diversity, and spiritual needs of all residents in planning programs, events, and holiday celebrations.
– Build rapport with residents to encourage their active participation in community offerings.
– Promote the Senior Lifestyle Corporation’s wellness model by providing diverse programming across physical, social, emotional, spiritual, intellectual, vocational, and environmental wellness areas.
– Prepare and distribute a monthly calendar of events and a newsletter that aligns with SLC program and brand standards by the beginning of each month.
– Coordinate and lead excursions outside the community to help residents remain connected to the broader community.
– Establish and maintain partnerships both within and outside the community to enhance programmatic offerings.
– Amplify the community’s lifestyle through an active social media presence and collaborative engagement with the sales and marketing departments.
– Oversee the resident ambassador program.
– Contribute to setting up seasonal and holiday décor throughout the community.
– Ensure that program flyers, bulletin boards, and digital signage are current and adhere to SLC standards.
– Conduct all tasks with a focus on preserving each resident’s dignity, privacy, and confidentiality.
– Responsible for the hiring, training, development, and mentoring of department staff in accordance with Senior Lifestyle Corporation’s Human Resources policies.
– Manage department equipment and inventory.
– Oversee departmental budgeting and expenditures.
– Document and maintain necessary records for effective departmental management.

Qualifications:

– Education: A Bachelor’s degree from a four-year institution or one to two years of relevant experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
– Experience Level: Entry-level (0-3+ years), with prior experience in leading both small and large group events.
– Language Skills: Proficient command of English to effectively communicate with residents, visitors, families, and staff.
– Technical Skills: Proficient in computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook Email, online learning platforms, and social media.
