Job description:
The Director of Sales – Select Service is responsible for overseeing the sales and marketing operations of a Select Service hotel. This role is critical in driving optimal occupancy and Average Daily Rate (ADR) growth to maximize total revenue, while ensuring achievement of the hotel’s profit objectives. The incumbent will supervise the hotel sales department, which includes responsibilities such as direct sales follow-up, sales administration, staff hiring, training, and performance management.

Additionally, the Director will be tasked with developing and managing the sales and marketing budget, as well as forecasting advertising and business plans for the hotel, adhering to approved plans and budgets. Exempt associates are expected to dedicate as much time as necessary each day to fulfilling their job responsibilities, with over 50 percent of primary duties consisting of administrative, executive, or professional tasks. Furthermore, job duties must involve the use of discretion and independent judgment more than 50 percent of the time.

Qualifications:
– A minimum of 2 years of progressive hotel sales experience is preferred; alternatively, a 4-year college degree with at least 1 year of related experience, or a 2-year college degree with at least 2 years of related experience is acceptable.
– A valid driver’s license in the applicable state is required.
