District Operations Manager
SPAR is seeking a results-driven candidate with exceptional interpersonal skills for the role of District Operations Manager. In this position, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a district, which includes budget management, resource planning, customer service, operational efficiency, and safety programs. Experience in big box retail, project scheduling, and phase plan capability will be highly advantageous as you step into your role with SPAR.

Responsibilities:
– Supervise multi-site projects managing 4-6 teams.
– Staff, create schedules, and oversee all programs.
– Hire, train, and coach individuals while fostering cohesive teams to meet client objectives.
– Travel to engage with clients and teams, adapting to various needs and directives.
– Ensure work execution meets client expectations and stays within approved budgets.
– Monitor and control district costs, including pay rates, travel expenses, and in-store time.
– Actively participate in initiatives promoting continuous improvement through team meetings and calls.
– Cultivate and protect strong relationships with client accounts.
– May involve developing, facilitating, and evaluating time and motion studies.
– Utilize company systems productively as required (e.g., reporting).
– Ensure operational efficiency across all stores on each project.
– Ensure compliance with company and industry regulations within supervised stores.
– Manage a regional budget and ensure that each store (project) operates within approved financial parameters.
Qualifications:
– Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required.
– Minimum 5 years of experience in retail management.
– Experience in Big Box Retail or Construction preferred.
– Familiarity with project scheduling and phase planning.
– Proven leadership and decision-making skills.
– Excellent time management, organizational, and training abilities.
– Strong written and verbal communication skills.
– Analytical mindset with proficient problem-solving capabilities.
– Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
– Experience with big box home improvement reporting programs.
