Job description:

As a Non-CDL Driver, you will play an essential role in the supply chain at Famous Supply, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, laws, and company policies during the transportation of products to our branches, customers, and job sites. Your commitment to delivering each order with precision, care, and without damage is vital to maintaining our high customer service standards, as this position directly interacts with our valued clients. You will be responsible for operating a 26’ box truck for pickups and deliveries, which allows you to enjoy the benefit of returning home every night without weekend commitments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in loading trucks efficiently and safely.
  • Utilize a provided smartphone for navigation to ensure timely arrivals at each stop.
  • Unload materials at customer locations with attention to detail.
  • Verify the accuracy of deliveries to maintain quality service.
  • Provide friendly, responsive customer service to enhance client relationships.
  • Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, regulations, and legal requirements.

Required Experience and Skills:

  • Proven ability to operate a 26’ box truck safely and effectively.
  • Valid driver’s license (no CDL required).
  • A satisfactory driving record.
  • Capacity to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
  • Proficiency in using smartphones for navigation and communication.

Preferred Experience and Skills:

  • Previous forklift operation experience.
  • Background in customer service.
  • Knowledge of the building industry and related products.
