Job description:

TRIGO Quality Solutions is currently seeking an Electrical Technician based in Allen Park, MI, for the 1st Shift. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in vehicle systems and hold an ASE Certification.

The Electrical Technician I is responsible for selecting, measuring, and preparing electrical wiring, as well as conducting instrument startup, calibration, function testing, and safety assessments of products. This position offers mentorship and support from team members throughout project work and interactions with customers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assemble and install wiring, conducting functional and safety tests using hand tools and appropriate assembly techniques, while adhering to work instructions (including prints, cut sheets, and sample harnesses).
  • Interpret blueprints, bill of materials (BOM), schematics, and piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&ID); manage the inventory of project components and supplies.
  • Ensure the quality of wire harness assemblies through rigorous validation processes.
  • Deconstruct and rework donor harnesses as required.
  • Collaborate effectively as part of cross-functional project teams.
  • Contribute to daily shop organization and maintenance efforts.

Education and Experience (Required):

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience.
  • Certificate in Engineering Technology or a related field.
  • National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification(s).
  • Familiarity with automotive powertrain systems or electric battery systems.

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities (Required):

  • Proficient in the use of hand and power tools.
  • Ability to interpret electronic schematics and documentation.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Availability to work overtime and weekends as needed.

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities (Preferred):

  • Knowledge of various vehicle systems, including powertrain, chassis, electrical, thermal, exteriors, and interiors, along with an understanding of related components, materials, and fasteners.
