Job description:

A manufacturing company is seeking a part-time Electro-Mechanical Assembler to join our team, focusing on the assembly and testing of mechanical, pneumatic, and electro-mechanical products. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Duties:

  • Assemble and test a variety of the company’s products according to provided drawings, procedures, and work instructions, utilizing hand tools.
  • Document any necessary changes to drawings or parts lists to ensure the accuracy and maintenance of production information.
  • Assist in maintaining the manufacturing area and in training team members.
  • Uphold cleanliness and organization within the work area and assist with inventory management.
  • Use appropriate personal safety equipment as required.
  • Actively participate in fostering a culture of continuous improvement by engaging in LEAN activities.

Qualifications:

  • A High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Experience in Lean practices and mechanical assembly is preferred.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings; familiarity with electrical schematics is a plus.
  • Knowledge of production processes, purchasing, and quality assurance is essential.
  • Capability to visually inspect components, use measuring instruments, and conduct part testing.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel is required.
  • Commitment to safe work practices, maintaining a clean work environment, and collaboration within a team is essential.
  • Comfort with assembling sub-units while seated, as well as retrieving parts from shelves as needed.
  • Strong hand/eye coordination, attention to detail, and the ability to work swiftly and efficiently with small components.
