AI Pay Analysis: To accurately analyze the hourly rate for the role of “Emergency Room Technical Assistant” at Plymouth Medical Center ER in Plymouth, MI, it would be necessary to have the specific hourly wage information. However, as of my last update, the hourly rates for Emergency Room Technical Assistants typically range from $15 to $25, depending on experience, location, and the specific demands of the role. In Plymouth, MI, a competitive rate for this position would likely be on the higher end of that scale, especially considering factors like cost of living and demand for healthcare services. Job description:
The Henry Ford Plymouth Emergency Department is an 18-bed, freestanding facility connected to a medical center, where our dedicated team of providers, including both physicians and mid-level practitioners, serves pediatric and adult patients, as well as processing EMS traffic as needed. Since our opening in September 2022, we have fostered strong collaborative relationships with pharmacy, laboratory, ultrasound, and particularly radiology departments. In alignment with Henry Ford Health values, we prioritize and celebrate diversity within our team and the patients we serve. Our mission is to consistently identify and implement best practices, ensuring we provide the same level of care to our patients as we would to our own family members.
In addition to various responsibilities, our Emergency Department Technicians (EDTs) are expected to perform tasks such as blood draws, EKGs, taking vital signs, assisting with triage, bladder scanning, and support during codes. EDTs frequently provide one-on-one monitoring for our behavioral health patients. Our department sees a significant number of elderly patients, resulting in a high incidence of falls; therefore, splinting and basic wound care are common procedures. Collaboration between nurses and EDTs is essential, especially when working with housekeeping to maintain cleanliness in treatment rooms and throughout the department.
Our leadership team, comprised of a Director, Nurse Manager, and Nursing Supervisor, is both supportive and actively engaged. This newly established department is a diverse collective of team members devoted to excellence in care. We maintain a steadfast focus on safety and teamwork, continuously reassessing our practices and ensuring open lines of communication. Our team is committed to supporting one another while delivering the highest quality of care to our patients and the broader community.
