AI Pay Analysis: An hourly rate of $18 for an “Engineer Preventative Maintenance” role in Grand Rapids, MI appears to be below the industry standard. According to data from salary surveys and job postings, the average salary for preventive maintenance engineers typically ranges from $25 to $40 per hour in similar locations, depending on experience and specific industry requirements. This lower rate may reflect entry-level positions or roles in less-demanding sectors, but it generally may not be competitive for attracting skilled candidates in this field who possess relevant qualifications and experience.
