Expedient is seeking an on-site, entry-level IT Support Associate for our Dublin/Columbus, Ohio data center. This position offers a unique opportunity for rapid learning, professional development, and career advancement within our Operations Support Center (OSC) team. The ideal candidate will receive comprehensive, fully funded training, including hands-on experience and industry certifications, while working with a diverse array of technical platforms such as virtualization technologies, networking, data protection, Windows, disaster recovery, Linux/Unix, and infrastructure.

Candidates should possess some experience in IT and technology, which can include self-study, technical education, or relevant work experience. On-the-job training will encompass the technology and business operations of Expedient, along with opportunities to learn about basic support requests, monitoring, and client service.

Schedule and Shift Premium: This role operates with a regular schedule from Sunday through Tuesday, alternating Wednesdays, from 7:30 AM to 7:30 PM local time. Employees will receive an additional bonus upon completion of initial training, along with paid lunch breaks for all 12-hour shifts.

Professional Development & Training: Expedient values professional growth and education highly. We will cover the upfront costs for our IT Support Associates to acquire relevant technical certifications, such as CompTIA, A+, Network+, etc. Completion of more advanced certifications will also offer associated bonuses.

Rate of Pay: The hourly compensation is commensurate with your technical, work-related, and academic experience. We are seeking passionate candidates eager to embark on an IT career, and we will consider all levels of experience. The annual pay ranges from $32,000 to $37,000, paid hourly, and may vary based on market conditions and shift requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage client tickets and inquiries, conduct daily shift walks, perform routine audits, and handle remote hands requests while escalating complex tickets as necessary.
  • Adhere to stringent security protocols for client access requests within the data center using established access control criteria.
  • Observe shipping and receiving protocols to ensure the secure transport of equipment to and from the facility.
  • Utilize the ticketing system to log all requests and activities, including special requests and important customizations for future support.

Physical Tasks/Demands:

  • Sitting in a stationary position during the workday for visitor check-ins.
  • Walking to escort visitors to equipment and conducting several perimeter checks in the data center to ensure safety compliance, including monitoring temperature sensors.
  • Frequently lifting light items and occasionally handling heavier equipment, parts, and server hardware.
  • Dexterity required for locking/unlocking security cages, operating a security kiosk, printing visitor badges, and using loading dock equipment; ability to climb, balance on a ladder, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl into confined areas for hardware access and safety evaluations.
