Job Title: Entry-Level IT Support Associate – Overnight (B)

Company: Expedient Data Centers

Location: Cleveland, OH

Pay: $32000 – 37000 per year

AI Pay Analysis: The annual salary range of $32,000 to $37,000 for the position of “Entry-Level IT Support Associate – Overnight (B)” in Cleveland, OH, translates to an approximate hourly rate of $15.38 to $17.79. While this range may be competitive for entry-level positions in areas with lower costs of living, it generally falls below the national average for IT support roles, which can range from $18 to $25 per hour, depending on experience and demand. Additionally, as the tech industry often offers higher starting wages due to skill shortages and the increasing value of IT services, this pay may not fully align with industry standards in urban areas or for overnight shifts, which usually attract premium pay. Therefore, while this role may appeal to some entry-level candidates, its compensation may be considered low compared to both local and national benchmarks in the IT sector.

Job description:

This role presents a unique opportunity for individuals eager to accelerate their career in information technology through comprehensive paid training and the acquisition of industry certifications, alongside hands-on experience with diverse technical platforms, including virtualization technology, networking, data protection, Windows, disaster recovery, Linux/Unix, and infrastructure.

Compensation is competitive and based on your technical and professional experience, with an annual pay range of $32,000 – $37,000, paid hourly.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement shipping and receiving procedures to facilitate the secure transit of equipment in and out of the facility.
  • Maintain accurate logs of all requests and activities via the ticketing system, ensuring thorough documentation of special requests and important customizations for future reference.

Recommended Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in customer service.
  • Relevant industry certifications (such as CompTIA, A+, or Network+) or equivalent experience in IT roles or academic settings.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical capability and independent problem-solving abilities.
  • Competency in prioritizing tasks and multitasking in a dynamic, time-sensitive environment.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment screens.

Physical Demands:

  • Capability to remain seated to facilitate visitor check-ins.
  • Ability to walk throughout the data center to escort visitors and conduct building safety compliance checks.
  • Frequent lifting of lightweight items, with occasional handling of heavy equipment and computer hardware.
