Job description:
Cleans and disinfects assigned work areas in accordance with departmental procedures. Responsible for the removal of medical waste, trash, and linens. Conducts interim and restorative maintenance on the health system’s hard floors, carpets, and upholstery, adhering to established protocols. Key Responsibilities include:

– Cleaning, disinfecting, and restocking patient rooms, offices, and ancillary areas consistent with established procedures.

– Assembling, maintaining, and storing necessary equipment and supplies to complete designated tasks in compliance with departmental standards.
– Collaborating and communicating with team members to ensure the continuity and coordination of services, while also reporting general maintenance needs and specialized cleaning requirements within the work area.
– Assisting visitors and employees in navigating the hospital to their desired destinations.
– Demonstrating proficiency within a single cleaning area and, when necessary, providing coverage across other departmental sites based on organizational needs.
