AI Pay Analysis: An hourly rate of $14 for the “Environmental Services 1” role in Saint Joseph, MI, translating to approximately $28,000 annually for a part-time position (16 hours/week), is somewhat competitive but may be below the average for similar roles in the healthcare and sanitation sectors. In Michigan, particularly in areas near the Great Lakes, wages for environmental services positions typically range from $12 to $18 per hour, depending on experience and specific job duties. While this rate may attract entry-level applicants, it may not be sufficient to retain experienced workers or students facing rising living costs. Overall, while it is within the typical range, it may not align with those seeking a livable wage in the region.
