Position Summary:
Our dynamic Manager-In-Training (MIT) program presents an exciting opportunity to learn and progress within an established company with over 45 years of expertise. New associates will benefit from a tailored interactive program that encompasses hands-on and computer-based training, lasting approximately sixteen (16) weeks. The program covers various facets of managing an account, including:
- General Training & Comprehension: Acquire the skills to perform tasks associated with the roles of housekeeper, heavy housekeeper/floor technician, and laundry worker. You’ll learn to operate and instruct others on the use of a variety of industrial cleaning equipment.
- Leadership Development: Collaboratively train staff, ensure quality control, and provide in-service training in adherence to policies, procedures, and federal/state regulations.
- Policies & Procedures: Learn to lead and guide teams to meet quality benchmarks, inventory levels, safety guidelines, and customer service expectations while complying with applicable federal, state, and local standards.
- Reporting: Gain experience in maintaining financial and operational records, including income, expenses, supplies, personnel, and equipment reports for HCSG and facility management.
- Training: Assume responsibility for training staff and ensuring quality standards are met through regular facility tours to assess work quality using Quality Control Inspections (QCIs) for documentation.
- Leadership: Develop essential managerial skills, including payroll submissions, staffing strategies, coaching, discipline, purchasing, inventory management, and budgeting.
- Communication: Effectively transmit directives from client managers, building occupants, and administrators to HCSG staff.
- Safety: Adhere to safety protocols including the proper use of protective gear, mixing and employing cleaning solutions, and following infection control policies to maintain a hygienic working environment.
- Punctuality: Demonstrate consistent attendance, timely area completion, and responsiveness to paging systems.
- Customer Experience: Represent HCSG positively through courteous, cooperative engagement with supervisors, coworkers, and client staff.
- Resident Experience: Ensure positive interactions that are pleasant and tactful with residents, staff, and facility guests.
Qualifications:
- Exhibit a positive attitude and the ability to follow verbal and written instructions while performing routine, repetitive tasks daily.
- Upon completing all requisite training, utilize leadership skills to fulfill responsibilities autonomously while ensuring the safety of oneself and others.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Basic computer proficiency necessary for maintaining records and completing reports, including web-based documentation.
- Must demonstrate reliability by adhering to scheduled work hours and attendance expectations.
- Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies as mandated by state, local, and/or customer requirements is essential.
- Capability to lift and carry a maximum of 50 pounds, push/pull up to 50 pounds, and stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to perform routine, repetitive tasks consistently.
- Must be comfortable working in environments with food and cleaning products.
- Residency within the service area is required.
