Position Summary
Our Manager-in-Training (MIT) program offers a remarkable opportunity to grow within a well-established company. As a new associate, you will engage in a comprehensive 16-week training program, combining hands-on and computer-based instruction, focusing on various aspects of account management including:

  • General Training & Comprehension: Mastering the roles of housekeeping, heavy housekeeping/floor technician, and laundry worker, as well as operating and instructing others on industrial cleaning equipment.
  • Leadership Development: Assisting in training and quality control while ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
  • Policies & Procedures: Providing support and guidance to meet quality standards, inventory levels, safety guidelines, and customer service expectations in accordance with applicable regulations.
  • Reporting: Maintaining accurate records of income, expenditures, supplies, personnel, and equipment for reporting purposes to HCSG and facility management.
  • Training Responsibilities: Overseeing staff training, quality control, and assessment of work quality, using Quality Control Indicators as part of documentation.
  • Leadership Duties: Executing managerial responsibilities, including payroll, staffing, coaching, purchasing, inventory management, and budgeting.
  • Communication Skills: Effectively relaying directives from client management and building administrators to HCSG staff.
  • Safety Practices: Ensuring adherence to safety guidelines, proper use of protective gear, and responsible handling of cleaning solutions.
  • Punctuality and Attendance: Maintaining consistent attendance and timely completion of assigned duties.
  • Customer Engagement: Upholding a positive representation of HCSG through cooperation and courtesy.
  • Resident Interaction: Fostering positive, respectful interactions with residents, staff, and facility guests.

Qualifications

  • A positive attitude with the ability to follow both oral and written instructions while performing routine tasks.
  • Leadership capabilities to fulfill responsibilities independently after completing training.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Basic computer proficiency for maintaining records and completing reports as needed, including web-based documentation.
  • Reliability in attendance and punctuality.
  • Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies as required.
  • Ability to lift and carry a maximum of 50 pounds, push and pull up to 50 pounds, and endure extended periods of standing, sitting, bending, and walking.
  • Capacity to perform routine, repetitive tasks consistently.
  • Ability to work around food and cleaning products.
  • Residency within the service area is a requirement.
