Position Summary
Our esteemed Manager-In-Training (MIT) program provides a unique opportunity for professional growth within a company with a long-standing legacy. Over approximately sixteen (16) weeks, you will engage in a tailored interactive program that combines hands-on and computer-based training, focusing on various aspects of account management, including:
- General Training & Comprehension: Learn and execute the roles of housekeeper, heavy housekeeper/floor tech, and laundry worker, and train others in operating various industrial cleaning equipment.
- Leadership Development: Assist in training, quality control, and staff in-servicing in accordance with policies, procedures, and federal/state regulations.
- Policies & Procedures: Provide leadership and guidance to meet quality standards, inventory levels, safety protocols, and customer service expectations while adhering to applicable regulations.
- Reporting: Maintain accurate records of income, expenditures, supplies, personnel, and equipment, presenting this information to HCSG and facility management.
- Training Oversight: Be responsible for training staff and quality control, ensuring compliance with HCSG standards through continual assessment.
- Managerial Responsibilities: Oversee payroll submission, staffing patterns, coaching, discipline, purchasing, inventory management, and budgeting.
- Communication: Effectively relay directives from client managers and building occupants to HCSG staff.
- Safety Compliance: Employ protective gear for all functions, manage cleaning solution safety, report equipment needs or malfunctions promptly, and follow infection control policies.
- Punctuality: Demonstrate consistent attendance and timely task completion according to established schedules.
- Customer Experience: Represent HCSG positively by adhering to instructions and maintaining a courteous and cooperative demeanor with clients and staff.
- Resident Interaction: Foster positive interactions with residents, staff, and facility guests.
Qualifications
- Demonstrate a positive attitude, following oral and written instructions and completing routine tasks consistently.
- After training, utilize leadership skills to independently fulfill all responsibilities safely.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Basic computer skills, particularly in record-keeping and report generation, including web-based reporting.
- Must maintain a consistent work schedule and punctuality.
- Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies as required by state, local, and customer mandates.
- Ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds, push/pull a maximum of 50 pounds, and maintain physical endurance standing, sitting, bending, and walking for extended periods.
- Capacity to perform routine, repetitive tasks consistently.
- Must be comfortable working around food and cleaning products.
- Residency within the service area is required.
