Job description:
Cleans and disinfects designated work areas in accordance with departmental protocols. Responsible for the removal of medical waste, trash, and linens. Executes interim and restorative maintenance of the health system’s hard floors, carpets, and upholstery, adhering to established procedures. Functions effectively within a designated area of responsibility.
Key Responsibilities:
– Conduct thorough cleaning, disinfecting, and restocking of patient rooms, offices, and ancillary areas following established guidelines.
– Manage the removal and disposal of linens and waste in compliance with relevant standards.
– Perform interim and restorative maintenance on hard floors, carpets, and upholstery as outlined by departmental procedures.
– Assemble, maintain, and store essential equipment and supplies to facilitate task completion in line with departmental standards.
– Foster communication and collaboration with team members to ensure continuity and coordination of services, and report any general maintenance or specialized cleaning needs within the work area.
– Assist visitors and staff in navigating through the hospital to their destinations.
– Operate primarily within a single cleaning area, with potential responsibilities across different departmental sites as needed for coverage.

Preferred Qualifications:
