Job description:
Cleans and disinfects designated work areas in accordance with departmental procedures. Responsible for the removal of medical waste, trash, and linens. Conducts interim and restorative maintenance of the health system’s hard floors, carpets, and upholstery in alignment with established protocols. Operates effectively within a designated area of responsibility.

Key Responsibilities:

– Ensure the thorough cleaning, disinfecting, and stocking of patient rooms, offices, and ancillary areas according to established standards.
– Manage the removal and appropriate disposal of linens and waste streams.
– Perform interim and restorative maintenance on hard floors, carpets, and upholstery as per departmental guidelines.
– Assemble, maintain, and store equipment and supplies essential for task completion, adhering to departmental standards.
– Communicate and collaborate with team members to promote continuity and coordination of services; report general maintenance needs and specialized cleaning requirements in the designated work area.
– Assist visitors and employees in navigating the hospital to their destinations.
– Fully engage in responsibilities within one cleaning area while showing flexibility to work across department sites as necessary.

Qualifications:

Preferred:

– High School Diploma or equivalent.
– Experience in public service or customer service, particularly in hotel, hospital, environmental services, or janitorial settings.
