Job description:
Cleans and disinfects assigned work areas in accordance with departmental procedures. Responsible for the removal of medical waste, trash, and linens, as well as performing interim and restorative maintenance of hard floors, carpets, and upholstery following established protocols. Fully competent in one designated area of responsibility.

Key Responsibilities include:

– Cleaning, disinfecting, and restocking patient rooms, offices, and ancillary areas as per established guidelines.
– Safely removing and disposing of linens and waste streams.
– Conducting interim and restorative maintenance on hard floors, carpets, and upholstery according to procedures.
– Assembling, maintaining, and storing the necessary equipment and supplies to effectively complete tasks in alignment with departmental standards.
– Collaborating with team members to ensure seamless coordination of services and reporting any general maintenance or specialized cleaning needs in the work area.
– Assisting visitors and employees in navigating the hospital to reach their destinations.
– Fully operational within one cleaning area and may be required to work across departmental sites as needed.

Qualifications:

Preferred qualifications include a High School Diploma or equivalent, as well as experience in public service or customer service within hotel, hospital, environmental services, or janitorial settings.
