Job description:
Maintains the cleanliness of hospital facilities in accordance with hospital, departmental, and regulatory agency standards. This role is essential in providing a safe and sanitary environment for patients, visitors, and staff.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
* Adheres to safe workplace practices in alignment with regulatory guidelines.
– Cleans and restocks all assigned areas, including patient rooms, bathrooms, offices, clinical areas, conference rooms, nurses’ stations, and stairwells, following departmental standards and guidelines. Maintains work assignment sheets to track daily duties in these areas.
* Implements departmental procedures according to the six-step cleaning process and any additional steps specified in the job assignment.
* Cleans patient beds.
* Transports equipment and furniture as needed.
* Disposes of biomedical and solid waste materials appropriately.
* Wears the assigned uniform and maintains a professional appearance.
* Prepares conference rooms for use.
* Cleans organic soil according to departmental policies and procedures.
* Performs other related duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications:
* Six months of experience in housekeeping or maintenance.
* High school diploma or GED.
