Job description:
The City of Detroit is seeking a dedicated and experienced Sustainable Mobility Project Manager to join the Office of Mobility and Innovation. The selected candidate will play a crucial role in the planning, coordination, and construction of infrastructure projects that advance the city’s sustainability and clean energy goals, specifically concerning electrification and the promotion of low and zero-emission vehicles.
Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning and Management: Develop and oversee project plans, timelines, and budgets for electric vehicle (EV) infrastructure projects, ensuring alignment with local policies and sustainability objectives. Maintain activity logs and reports to effectively monitor construction progress. Approve cost estimates, contractor notifications, change orders, and invoices while ensuring that project expenditures remain within established budgets.

Construction Management: Analyze accepted construction contracts to ensure compliance with specifications and budgetary constraints, and negotiate revisions to contractual agreements with architects, consultants, clients, suppliers, or subcontractors as necessary.

Data Analysis and Reporting: Monitor project progress, collect and analyze pertinent data, and prepare comprehensive reports for senior management and stakeholders.

Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal departments, external agencies, community organizations, and private sector partners. Execute public outreach and educational initiatives to foster EV adoption and keep the community informed.

Minimum Qualifications:
