At Canton Chair Rental / Party Savvy, the leading event rental provider in Stark County, we don’t just rent tables and chairs; we create memorable experiences! We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Event Consultant to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will contribute to the success of events by accurately understanding client needs and recommending suitable rental products. Your responsibilities will range from handling inquiries and coordinating event logistics to delivering exceptional customer service and facilitating the sales process in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

– Respond promptly and professionally to incoming phone calls, texts, web requests, and emails.
– Conduct outbound calls to update and maintain the business contact database.
– Welcome clients in our Design Center, offering expert guidance on rental products.
– Collaborate with clients to assess their event requirements, providing tailored recommendations and identifying opportunities for upselling.
– Develop comprehensive event layouts and ensure meticulous record-keeping of all details.
– Follow up on quotes and leads in alignment with departmental goals.
– Build and maintain relationships with new and existing clients to foster retention and repeat business.
– Proactively address and resolve customer concerns to ensure satisfaction.
– Represent the company at networking events, trade shows, and conferences to cultivate industry relationships.
– Travel to off-site locations as necessary for client consultations.
– Engage with clients planning weddings, corporate events, fundraisers, and parties to ensure all rental needs are met.
– Accurately input and manage rental order details within the rental software.
– Coordinate event logistics, including delivery, pickup, setup, and teardown, and assist with these tasks as needed.
– Maintain clear and professional communication with both customers and team members.
– Perform additional duties as assigned.

Schedule:

– The typical schedule is Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with flexibility expected based on client needs. Team members should be prepared to stay beyond scheduled hours as necessary to ensure successful event planning and execution.
– Occasional after-hours and weekend shifts may be required for client appointments, setups, or during peak demand periods.

Qualifications and Requirements:

– A minimum of 1 year of experience in customer service, sales, or a related field.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
– A valid Ohio driver’s license that meets company insurance requirements.

– Strong typing skills with the ability to maintain accurate records.
– Capability to interpret instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
– Basic math skills, including fractions, percentages, and ratios.
– Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and assist with event setups and teardowns as required.
