As a Facilities Technician, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and overall condition of the property, including grounds, public areas, and guest rooms. Essential Functions:

  • Greet guests with a warm and welcoming demeanor, fostering personal connections to ensure they feel valued.
  • Conduct property walk-arounds throughout your shifts to identify and address any issues while ensuring all areas are clean and safe.
  • Maintain a list of suppliers and order necessary maintenance supplies while adhering to the company budget to minimize equipment downtime and revenue loss. Seek approval from the General Manager for any large purchases.
  • Utilize Quore to record maintenance issues and keep accurate documentation on tasks completed and outstanding work orders.
  • Oversee daily checks of the swimming pool/spa and filtration systems to ensure a safe and clean environment.
  • Maintain security by managing master keys and ensuring all equipment, such as security cameras and door locks, is functioning correctly.
  • Keep up-to-date files on required county and state records for pools and spas, boilers, elevators, etc.
  • Assist in the operation and training of fire protection systems.
  • Perform painting and drywall repairs.
  • Conduct minor electrical and plumbing repairs.
  • Support outdoor maintenance tasks such as lawn care and snow removal.
  • Troubleshoot and repair kitchen and laundry equipment as well as HVAC systems based on your expertise.
  • Address guest complaints or issues promptly and in line with Suburban Inns’ standards.
  • Contribute to the ongoing preventative maintenance program for the property.
  • Facilitate clear communication across all hotel departments.
  • Drive company vehicles and/or operate heavy machinery for lawn care and snow removal when required.
  • Comply with all Suburban Inns processes.
  • Maintain excellent attendance records.
  • Execute any additional duties assigned by management.

Position Requirements:

  • Knowledge: Ability to interpret and extract relevant information, perform arithmetic functions, and effective communication skills; basic typing and computer knowledge is advantageous.
  • Experience: Minimum of one year of related job experience is required.
  • Certifications: Hazcom Training and Lock-Out/Tag-Out training required.
  • A valid driving record is essential.

Work Schedule: The role requires flexibility, with schedules varying between day, evening, night, holiday, and weekend assignments based on business needs.
