Position Overview:
The F&B Supervisor will support the Food and Beverage Manager in overseeing front-of-house operations. This role will require adherence to Suburban Inns’ Core Values, brand standards, and local health department regulations.

Essential Functions:
- Maintain professional appearance and attire while reporting for duty.
- Provide a friendly and positive greeting to all guests, making personal connections to enhance their experience. Conduct regular table visits, including for to-go orders and in-room dining.
- Assist in hiring, training, coaching, and evaluating team members, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures. Supervise staff and uphold accountability during shifts.
- Support the management of POS systems, train new staff, and oversee necessary reporting and menu adjustments.
- Ensure compliance with all safety, sanitation, energy management, preventive maintenance, and operational standards.
- Confirm that restaurant and banquet functions are properly staffed according to the approved scheduling.
- Monitor labor costs and assist with payroll processing, including facilitating tip sharing where applicable.
- Collaborate with the Sales team to manage food, beverage, and service requirements for booked events, including the setup and breakdown of banquet spaces and audiovisual equipment.
- Ensure consistent compliance with legal requirements pertaining to wage, hour, and alcohol service, including obtaining necessary certifications (TIPS, ServSafe).
- Conduct regular inspections of service areas and equipment to ensure cleanliness and compliance with standards; utilize the Quore management system as needed.
- Assist in managing purchasing and receiving to ensure quality and value in all product acquisitions.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of the F&B menu items, service ware, and preparation techniques, conducting inspections of prepared items prior to service.
- Oversee inventory levels of service equipment and supplies.
- Address guest complaints in a professional manner and elevate concerns to the F&B Manager as needed.
- Assist in maintaining attendance records for the team.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Position Requirements:
- Minimum Knowledge: Proficiency in interpreting information, performing arithmetic functions, and utilizing Microsoft Office and other computer applications. Experience with restaurant POS systems is preferred, along with strong communication skills.
- Formal Education and Experience: A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is preferred, along with a minimum of two years in a related field.
- Certifications: ServSafe and TIPS certifications are required.
Uniform and Appearance Guidelines:
- Uniform: Uniform and name tag provided; team members are responsible for close-toed, non-slip shoes.
- Appearance: Hair must be well-groomed, and all facial piercings and tattoos not covered by the uniform require management approval. Tattoos deemed offensive based on sensitive characteristics must remain covered at all times. This policy will be enforced by the supervisor, with the Vice President of Operations having final authority.
