Position Overview:
As a Field Service Technician Apprentice, you will engage in an apprentice-style program leading to certification. Your role will involve working at job sites, conducting various tests, installations, and repairs, while utilizing our proprietary software, TANCS, to document your findings.
Responsibilities:
- Perform site assessments and surveys
- Conduct leak tests on fuel storage tanks and piping systems
- Install equipment and test tank gauge systems
- Record and analyze test results, effectively communicating findings to the Operations team
- Manage and report inventory of parts and supplies within your company vehicle
Qualifications:
- Mechanical aptitude with experience in trades such as HVAC, plumbing, mechanics, electrical work, carpentry, or cable technology preferred
- Ability to lift up to 70 pounds and perform physical tasks including stooping, bending, and kneeling
- Comfortable with climbing 20-foot extension ladders multiple times daily
- Willingness to undergo a DOT physical, drug screening, DMV check, and background check
- Basic computer skills for data entry
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to travel across multiple states, occasionally requiring overnight stays (hotel accommodations and a generous per diem provided)
