Position Overview:
As a Field Service Technician Apprentice, you will engage in a hands-on apprenticeship program leading to certification. Your responsibilities will include working at job sites where you will conduct various testing, installations, and repairs, utilizing our proprietary software, TANCS, to document your findings.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough site assessments and surveys
- Perform leak tests on fuel storage tanks and piping systems
- Install equipment and evaluate tank gauge systems
- Enter and analyze test results, effectively communicating findings to the Operations team
- Manage and report inventory of parts and supplies maintained within your company vehicle
Qualifications:
- Mechanical aptitude with experience in a relevant trade (HVAC, plumbing, mechanics, electrical work, carpentry, or telecommunications)
- Capability to lift up to 70 lbs and perform various physical tasks, including stooping, bending, and kneeling
- Comfortable with frequent climbing of 20 ft extension ladders
- Willingness to undergo a DOT physical, drug screening, DMV check, and background check
- Basic computer proficiency for data entry tasks
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to travel across multiple states, with occasional overnight stays (hotel accommodations and a generous per diem are provided)
