Position Summary
- Heavy Housekeeper / Floor Technician: Responsible for the comprehensive floor maintenance of hard surfaces and carpets, including dusting and wet mopping, stripping, waxing, buffing, shampooing, extraction, and bonneting in areas such as offices, resident rooms, corridors, lobbies, entrances, stairwells, and dining areas. Duties also include collecting trash, recycling, and soiled linen, ensuring their proper disposal. Additional external responsibilities may also be assigned, such as maintaining the surrounding grounds.
- Safety: Adhere to safety protocols by utilizing protective gear during all tasks, mixing and using cleaning solutions safely, and promptly reporting equipment or product needs. Ensure compliance with established safety and quality standards, alongside infection control policies.
- Punctuality: Maintain consistent attendance and arrive on time, completing assigned cleaning tasks according to schedule and responding promptly to the paging system.
- Customer Experience: Represent HCSG positively by following instructions and cultivating courteous and cooperative relationships with supervisors, colleagues, and client staff.
- Resident Experience: Engage in positive, pleasant, and tactful interactions with residents, staff, and facility guests.
Qualifications
- Exhibit a positive attitude and the ability to follow oral and written instructions, performing routine, repetitive tasks effectively.
- After completing the requisite training, demonstrate leadership capabilities and fulfill responsibilities independently while ensuring safety.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Regular attendance and punctuality are essential.
- Compliance with COVID-19 Vaccination Policies as dictated by State, Local, and/or Customers is required.
- Capable of lifting and carrying a maximum of 50 pounds, pushing/pulling up to 50 pounds, and standing, sitting, bending, and walking for extended periods.
- Ability to perform continuous routine and repetitive tasks.
- Willingness to work around food and cleaning products is required.
- Candidates must reside within the service area.
