Position Summary:
- Heavy Housekeeper / Floor Technician: Responsible for maintaining the overall condition of floors, including hard surfaces and carpets, through dust and wet mopping, stripping, waxing, buffing, shampooing, extraction, and bonneting. Duties also include collecting trash, recycling, and soiled linens, ensuring proper disposal, and potentially performing outdoor work, including grounds maintenance.
- Safety Responsibilities: Utilize protective gear for all functions, safely mix and use cleaning solutions according to established safety protocols, and report equipment needs or malfunctions to the supervisor promptly. Adhere to infection control and universal precautions policies to maintain sanitary conditions at all times.
- Punctuality: Demonstrate consistent attendance and punctual arrival, ensuring timely completion of assigned cleaning areas as scheduled and responding to paging systems promptly.
- Customer Experience: Maintain a positive representation of HCSG by adhering to instructions and engaging courteously and cooperatively with supervisors, coworkers, and client staff.
- Resident Experience: Engage in positive, friendly, and tactful interactions with residents, staff, and facility guests.
Qualifications:
- Exhibit a positive attitude and the ability to follow both oral and written instructions, effectively performing routine, repetitive tasks.
- After completing necessary training, demonstrate leadership by carrying out responsibilities independently and safely.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Reliability in attendance and punctuality is essential.
- Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies, as required by State, Local, and/or customer mandates.
- Capability to lift or carry up to 50 pounds, push or pull up to 50 pounds, and stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended durations.
- Ability to perform routine tasks continuously and work around food and cleaning products.
