Position Summary
- Heavy Housekeeper / Floor Technician: Responsible for maintaining hard surfaces and carpets, including dusting, mopping, stripping, waxing, buffing, and shampooing in various areas such as offices, resident rooms, corridors, lobbies, and public spaces. Duties also include collecting waste and soiled linen for proper disposal and may involve additional outdoor responsibilities.
- Safety: Ensure compliance with safety standards and utilize protective gear appropriately. Responsible for the safe mixing and use of cleaning solutions, promptly reporting equipment needs or malfunctions to supervisors, and maintaining established safety and quality guidelines. Follow infection control and hygiene protocols diligently.
- Punctuality: Maintain consistent attendance, arriving on time, and completing assigned tasks according to schedule. Respond promptly to the paging system when necessary.
- Customer Experience: Uphold HCSG’s reputation through courteous and cooperative engagement with supervisors, co-workers, and client staff.
- Resident Interaction: Engage positively and tactfully with residents, staff, and facility guests.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated positive attitude, ability to follow oral and written instructions, and proficiency in performing routine, repetitive tasks.
- Capacity to utilize leadership skills to fulfill responsibilities independently and safely after appropriate training.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential.
- Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies as mandated by state, local, or customer requirements.
- Ability to lift/carry and push/pull up to 50 pounds, along with the capacity to stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods.
- Must be comfortable working around food and cleaning products.
- Residency in the service area is required.
