Position Summary
– Heavy Housekeeper / Floor Tech: Responsible for maintaining the overall condition of hard and carpeted surfaces through tasks such as dusting, wet mopping, stripping, waxing, buffing, shampooing, extraction, and bonneting in areas that include offices, resident rooms, corridors, lobbies, entrances, stairwells, and dining rooms. Duties also include collecting trash, recycling, and soiled linens from units, as well as proper disposal in designated containers. Additional tasks may involve outdoor responsibilities, including maintaining grounds.
– Safety: Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment, safely mix and utilize cleaning solutions while adhering to all safety protocols. Report maintenance needs and malfunctions to supervisors in a timely manner and uphold established standards, safety, and quality guidelines. Comply with infection control and universal precautions at all times.
– Punctuality: Exhibit consistent attendance and punctuality. Complete assigned cleaning duties according to the established schedule and respond to paging systems promptly.
– Customer Experience: Represent HCSG positively by being courteous, cooperative, and following instructions from supervisors and colleagues.
– Resident Experience: Foster positive, pleasant, and tactful interactions with residents, staff, and facility guests.
Qualifications
– Demonstrate a positive attitude and the ability to follow both oral and written instructions while performing routine and repetitive tasks.
– After receiving training, effectively utilize leadership skills to accomplish responsibilities independently and safely.
– A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
– Must maintain consistent attendance and punctuality.
– Compliance with COVID-19 Vaccination Policies as required by applicable laws and guidelines.
– Ability to lift or carry up to 50 pounds, push or pull a maximum of 50 pounds, and stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods.
– Capability to perform repetitive tasks continuously.
– Must be able to work in environments with food and cleaning products.
– Residency within the service area is required.
