Position Summary:

Heavy Housekeeper / Floor Technician: Responsible for the comprehensive maintenance of hard surface and carpeted floors, encompassing dust and wet mopping, stripping, waxing, buffing, shampooing, extraction, and bonneting in various areas, including offices, resident rooms, corridors, lobbies, entrances, stairwells, and dining rooms. Tasks also include collecting trash, recycling, and soiled linen, with appropriate disposal methods for each. Additional outdoor responsibilities may be assigned.

Safety: Ensure the use of protective equipment during all tasks, safely mixing and utilizing cleaning solutions in accordance with all safety guidelines. Timely reporting of equipment needs or malfunctions to supervisors is expected. Adherence to established safety and quality standards, as well as infection control and universal precautions policies, is crucial.

Punctuality: Maintain consistent attendance and timely arrival, completing assigned cleaning areas according to schedule, and responding promptly to the paging system.

Customer Experience: Uphold HCSG’s reputation by being courteous and cooperative with supervisors, colleagues, and client staff.
- Resident Experience: Interact positively and tactfully with residents, staff, and visitors.
Qualifications:
- Ability to maintain a positive attitude while following oral and written instructions and performing routine tasks daily.
- After completing training, demonstrate leadership capabilities while working independently in a safe manner.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential.
- Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies as required by state, local, and customer mandates.
- Ability to lift/carry a maximum of 50 pounds and engage in physical activities (standing, bending, walking) for extended periods.
- Capability to perform continuous repetitive tasks and work around food and cleaning products.
- Must reside within the service area.
