Position Summary:
- Heavy Housekeeper / Floor Technician: Responsible for the comprehensive maintenance of hard surface and carpeted floors, including dust and wet mopping, stripping, waxing, buffing, shampooing, extraction, and bonneting in various areas such as offices, resident rooms, corridors, lobbies, entrances, stairwells, and dining areas. Duties also include collecting trash, recycling, and soiled linen, as well as ensuring proper disposal. Additional external duties may be assigned, including grounds maintenance.
- Safety: Adhere to safety protocols by utilizing protective gear and following proper procedures for mixing and using cleaning solutions. Report any equipment or cleaning product issues to the supervisor promptly. Maintain established safety and quality standards while following infection control practices to ensure a sanitary environment at all times.
- Punctuality: Maintain consistent attendance and punctuality while completing assigned cleaning areas according to the schedule. Responsiveness to the paging system should be timely and appropriate.
- Customer Experience: Uphold the HCSG brand by following instructions and demonstrating courtesy and cooperation with supervisors, co-workers, and client staff.
- Resident Experience: Engage in positive, pleasant interactions with residents, staff, and facility guests.
Qualifications:
- Exhibit a positive attitude with the capability to follow oral and written instructions and perform routine, repetitive tasks consistently.
- After completing all necessary training, demonstrate leadership skills to fulfill responsibilities independently while prioritizing safety.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential.
- Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies as required by state, local, and/or client mandates is mandatory.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, push/pull weights of up to 50 pounds, and maintain mobility by standing, sitting, bending, and walking for extended periods.
- Capability to perform routine, repetitive tasks continuously.
- Must be comfortable working in environments involving food and cleaning products.
- Residency within the service area is required.
