Position Summary
As a Heavy Housekeeper / Floor Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining the overall cleanliness and appearance of various floor surfaces, which includes tasks such as dust and wet mopping, stripping, waxing, buffing, shampooing, and extraction in areas including offices, resident rooms, corridors, lobbies, entrances, stairwells, and dining rooms. Additional responsibilities include:
- Collecting and properly disposing of trash, recycling, and soiled linen.
- Utilizing personal protective equipment at all times and adhering to safety protocols while mixing and using cleaning solutions.
- Reporting any equipment needs or malfunctions to the supervisor promptly and ensuring compliance with established cleanliness and safety standards.
- Maintaining consistent attendance and punctuality while completing assigned cleaning tasks as scheduled.
- Positively representing HCSG by demonstrating courtesy and cooperation with supervisors, co-workers, and clients, as well as fostering pleasant interactions with residents and facility guests.
Qualifications
To be considered for this role, candidates should demonstrate the following:
- A positive attitude with the ability to follow oral and written instructions while performing repetitive tasks.
- The capability to accomplish responsibilities independently and without injury after completing the necessary training.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Compliance with scheduled work times and attendance is mandatory.
- Adherence to COVID-19 vaccination policies, as required by applicable regulations.
- Ability to lift and carry a maximum of 50 pounds, push or pull 50 pounds, and stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods.
- Capacity to work around food and cleaning products.
- Residence within the service area is required.
