Job Summary
The Food Service Worker/Cashier will perform essential cashiering duties alongside general food service responsibilities, while maintaining high standards of sanitation in food preparation, service, and dining areas.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform food preparation tasks, including washing, peeling, cutting, and seeding fruits and vegetables, as well as weighing and measuring ingredients.
  • Transport pans, kettles, and trays of food to and from work stations, stove, and refrigerator safely and efficiently.
  • Store food in designated areas, adhering to wrapping, dating, and food safety protocols.
  • Maintain cleanliness of work areas, equipment, and utensils.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and sanitation standards.
  • Utilize approved recipes and production standards to maintain quality, serving temperatures, and portion control.
  • Provide friendly and efficient service to customers, following established service guidelines.
  • Address customer inquiries and resolve complaints in a courteous and service-oriented manner.
  • Communicate relevant information to the supervisor.
  • Conduct sales transactions using the cash register, accurately recording purchases and processing payments.
  • Issue receipts, make change, and adhere to procedures for cash refunds.
  • Manage assigned change funds and cash receipts, ensuring compliance with accountability standards.
  • Replenish condiments, beverages, and general supplies, ensuring cleanliness of service areas.
  • Perform additional duties as required.
