We are seeking to immediately hire part-time Food Service Workers/Cashiers to join our team. This role is located at 1 University Circle, Youngstown, OH 44555. Please note that online applications are accepted exclusively.

Job Summary
The Food Service Worker/Cashier is responsible for performing cashiering duties alongside general food service tasks, while upholding sanitation standards within the preparation, service, and dining areas.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepare ingredients by washing, peeling, cutting, and seeding fruits and vegetables, while accurately weighing and measuring ingredients.
• Transport pans, kettles, and trays of food to and from workstations, stoves, and refrigerators, adhering to safety standards.
• Store food in designated areas following appropriate wrapping, dating, and food safety procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas, equipment, and utensils.
• Ensure compliance with sanitation and safety requirements.
• Follow approved food recipes and production standards to guarantee quality, appropriate serving temperatures, and portion control.
• Provide friendly and efficient service to customers, adhering to established service protocols.
• Engage positively with customers, addressing any complaints in a service-oriented manner.
• Communicate pertinent information to supervisors as needed.
• Execute sales transactions accurately.
• Input sales data into the cash register to ensure precise transaction records.
• Process payments, including cash, declining balance cards, and other acceptable forms.
• Issue receipts to customers.
• Adhere to standard procedures for processing cash refunds.
• Maintain accountability for assigned change funds and cash receipts to meet overage/shortage requirements.
• Restock condiments, beverages, and general supplies while keeping the service area tidy.
• Carry out additional duties as assigned.
