Job description:
Wage Grade 3 Food Service Workers are responsible for executing multi-step tasks and sequences with a strong emphasis on operational attention. These workers adhere to standardized procedures to complete repetitive assignments and follow an established workflow. The role encompasses all duties of lower-grade workers and includes responsibilities across various functional areas of the kitchen, including food preparation, dish and pot washing, dry and refrigerated storage, and receiving.
This position is currently accepting applications from November 14, 2024, to November 25, 2024. The salary for this role ranges from $25.05 to $29.18 per hour, classified under Wage Grade 3.
Key duties include, but are not limited to, setting up assigned stations with necessary supplies and food items, serving food in a cafeteria style, cleaning and dismantling the service station, setting up dining tables, delivering meal trays, assisting in food preparation, operating kitchen equipment, and maintaining cleanliness throughout the food service areas.
The work schedule for this position is from 3:30 PM to 7:30 PM on a rotating basis, including weekends and holidays.
To qualify for this position, applicants must clearly demonstrate, through detailed descriptions in their resume, the knowledge, skills, and experience necessary to perform the assigned duties. Experience can include both paid and unpaid work, and volunteer experience will be credited as well.
Applicants must be U.S. citizens and will be subject to a probationary period, pre-employment physical, and background/security investigations, including selective service registration for applicable males. Participation in seasonal influenza and COVID-19 vaccination programs is mandatory for healthcare personnel.
