Responsibilities:
- Assist with food preparation, which includes chopping vegetables and assembling salads.
- Serve meals to residents, taking into account their dietary requirements and portion sizes.
- Maintain cleanliness by sanitizing kitchen equipment, utensils, and dining areas.
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Foster positive interactions with residents, staff, and guests by delivering exemplary customer service.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Previous experience in a food service or kitchen environment is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Ability to follow instructions and collaborate effectively within a team.
- Maintain a positive demeanor and communicate efficiently with residents, administrative staff, and HCSG leadership to fulfill daily responsibilities.
- Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies is required.
- Ability to lift/carry a maximum of 30 pounds and push/pull a maximum of 50 pounds; must also be capable of standing, sitting, bending, and walking for extended periods.
- Must be able to perform routine, repetitive tasks consistently.
- Capable of working in proximity to food and cleaning products.
- A current ServSafe or Food Handler certification is required as per State/County law.
- Residency within the service area is necessary.
