Position Overview
The Kitchen Helper / Dietary Aide plays a vital role in supporting the Cook with meal preparation and service. Responsibilities include:
- Assisting in food preparation and ensuring proper meal presentation in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Preparing and delivering meals and trays, as well as washing dishes and maintaining a clean and sanitary kitchen in compliance with health standards.
- Adhering to safety protocols by utilizing protective gear and properly mixing cleaning solutions. Reporting equipment or product needs to supervisors promptly, while ensuring quality and safety standards are upheld.
- Maintaining consistent attendance and punctuality, responding to paging systems promptly, and completing assigned tasks according to schedule.
- Demonstrating positive and professional interactions with residents, staff, and facility guests, embodying HCSG’s commitment to exemplary customer service.
Qualifications
Ideal candidates will demonstrate a positive attitude, the ability to follow instructions, and a capacity for regular, repetitive tasks. Specific qualifications include:
- Ability to work independently following training, while ensuring safety and mitigating injury.
