Position Summary
As a Kitchen Helper / Dietary Aide, you will play a crucial role in assisting the Cook with meal preparation and service. Your responsibilities will include placing prepared food onto plates and trays in accordance with established procedures, preparing and delivering meals, washing dishes, and ensuring the kitchen is cleaned and sanitized in line with health standards. You will contribute to providing high-quality food service while adhering to safety protocols and infection control measures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safety: Utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) as required for all tasks. Safely mix and use cleaning solutions, reporting any equipment or supply needs to your supervisor promptly. Maintain compliance with established safety and quality standards and follow proper sanitation and hygiene procedures.

  • Punctuality: Maintain consistent attendance and arrive punctually. Complete assigned cleaning tasks within the designated timeframe and respond promptly to paging systems.

  • Customer Experience: Represent HCSG positively by cooperating with supervisors, colleagues, and client staff in a courteous and professional manner.

  • Resident Experience: Engage in positive and respectful interactions with residents, staff, and guests.

Qualifications

  • A positive attitude coupled with the ability to follow both oral and written instructions, performing routine tasks efficiently.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, with specialized training in food service desirable. Completion of an approved sanitation and safety course may be required.
  • Current ServSafe certification is mandated by state or county regulations.
  • A Food Handler’s card is required.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential.
