Position Summary
- Kitchen Helper / Dietary Aide: Assists the Cook in food preparation and service, accurately plating meals according to established procedures. Responsible for maintaining kitchen cleanliness and food safety standards at all times. Duties include preparing and delivering food and trays, washing dishes, and cleaning the kitchen in compliance with health regulations.
- Safety: Utilize protective equipment and responsibly mix cleaning solutions, ensuring adherence to all safety precautions. Promptly report equipment and cleaning supply needs to supervisors. Follow hygiene and infection control practices to ensure a sanitary environment.
- Punctuality: Maintain consistent attendance and arrive on time to complete assigned tasks as scheduled.
- Customer Experience: Represent HCSG positively by following instructions and demonstrating courtesy with supervisors, coworkers, and client staff.
- Resident Experience: Engage in positive, respectful interactions with residents, staff, and visitors.
Qualifications
- Maintain a positive attitude and follow instructions while performing routine, repetitive tasks.
- After training, possess the ability to accomplish assigned tasks autonomously and safely.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred; specialized training in food service is beneficial. May be required to complete an approved sanitation and safety course.
- Current ServSafe certification is mandated by State/County regulations.
- A valid Food Handler’s card is required.
- Must demonstrate reliability in attendance and punctuality.
- Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies, as mandated by State, Local, and/or customers.
- Physical requirements include the ability to lift/carry a maximum of 30 pounds, push/pull a maximum of 50 pounds, and endure prolonged periods of standing, sitting, bending, and walking.
- Must consistently perform routine, repetitive tasks and work around food and cleaning products.
- Residency within the service area is required.
