Position Summary
- Kitchen Helper / Dietary Aide: Assist the Cook in meal preparation and service, ensuring that food is plated according to established protocols. Responsible for delivering meals, washing dishes, and maintaining kitchen cleanliness in compliance with health standards.
- Safety: Utilize protective equipment and follow safety protocols in mixing and handling cleaning solutions. Report any equipment or product issues promptly, and adhere to infection control and universal precautions to maintain a sanitary environment.
- Punctuality: Maintain consistent attendance and punctuality, promptly completing assigned tasks and responding to communication signals.
- Customer Experience: Represent HCSG positively through courteous and cooperative interactions with supervisors, co-workers, and clients.
- Resident Experience: Engage with residents, staff, and guests in a positive and respectful manner.
Qualifications
- Possess a positive attitude with the ability to follow both oral and written instructions, and perform routine, daily tasks consistently.
- After training, demonstrate leadership skills to independently fulfill responsibilities without jeopardizing safety.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred; specialized training in food service is advantageous, and completion of an approved sanitation and safety course may be required.
- ServSafe Certification: Current ServSafe certification is mandated by State/County law.
- A Food Handler’s card is necessary.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential.
- Compliance with COVID-19 Vaccination Policies, as required by State, Local, and/or Customers.
- Ability to lift/carry up to 30 pounds, push/pull up to 50 pounds, and maintain physical stamina through standing, sitting, bending, and walking for extended periods.
- Must be able to work safely around food and cleaning products.
- Residency within the service area is required.
