Position Summary
- Kitchen Helper / Dietary Aide: Assist the Cook in preparing and serving meals. Responsibilities include plating food according to established procedures, delivering food trays, washing dishes, and maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen in compliance with health standards.
- Safety: Utilize protective gear appropriately. Ensure the safe mixing and utilization of cleaning solutions while adhering to all safety protocols. Report any equipment or cleaning product needs to supervisors promptly. Maintain established standards for safety and quality and adhere to infection control policies.
- Punctuality: Demonstrate consistent attendance and arrive on time. Complete assigned tasks as per schedule and respond to the paging system promptly.
- Customer Experience: Positively represent HCSG by adhering to instructions and maintaining courteous interactions with supervisors, colleagues, and client staff.
- Resident Experience: Foster positive, respectful, and tactful interactions with residents, staff, and facility guests.
Qualifications
- A positive attitude with the ability to follow both oral and written instructions and perform routine, repetitive tasks effectively.
- Ability to utilize leadership skills to complete responsibilities independently after training, ensuring safety for yourself and others.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, along with specialized training in food service. Completion of an approved sanitation and safety course may be required.
- Current ServSafe certification is mandated by State/County law.
- A Food Handler’s card is required.
- Must have reliable attendance and punctual arrival.
- Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies is essential, as per local and state regulations.
- Ability to lift/carry up to 30 pounds, push/pull up to 50 pounds, and engage in prolonged standing, sitting, bending, and walking.
- Must be capable of performing routine repetitive tasks continuously and working around food and cleaning products.
- Must reside in the service area.
