Position Summary
- Kitchen Helper / Dietary Aide: Assist the Cook in meal preparation and service, adhere to established policies and procedures in food plating and serving, and ensure consistent delivery of quality food services. Responsibilities include food preparation and delivery, dishwashing, and maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen.
- Safety: Utilize protective gear in all appropriate tasks. Ensure proper mixing and usage of cleaning solutions while adhering to safety protocols. Report any equipment or product needs to a supervisor promptly. Follow infection control and universal precautions to maintain a sanitary environment.
- Punctuality: Maintain consistent attendance and arrive on time, ensuring all assigned tasks are completed as scheduled. Responsively address paging system alerts.
- Customer Experience: Represent HCSG positively by following directives and being courteous and cooperative with supervisors, colleagues, and client staff.
- Resident Experience: Engage with residents, staff, and guests in a positive and respectful manner.
Qualifications
- Exhibit a positive attitude and the ability to follow both oral and written instructions, performing routine tasks reliably.
- After completing appropriate training, demonstrate leadership in fulfilling responsibilities independently while ensuring safety.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred; specialized training in food service is beneficial. Completion of an approved sanitation and safety course may be required.
- ServSafe Certification: Current ServSafe certification is mandated by state/county law.
- A Food Handler’s card is also required.
- Punctuality is essential; you must be available for scheduled shifts and arrive on time.
- Compliance with COVID-19 Vaccination Policies as dictated by state, local, and customer regulations is mandatory.
- Ability to lift and carry a maximum of 30 pounds, push/pull up to 50 pounds, and stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods is necessary.
- Capacity to perform routine tasks continuously and work in proximity to food and cleaning products is essential.
- Residency in the service area is required.
