The Admissions Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting the Admissions and Student Services teams at the Arizona College. Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing incoming calls and directing them to the appropriate personnel or department.
  • Requesting student transcripts and proctoring admission tests.
  • Conducting follow-up calls with students regarding scheduling and document requests.
  • Maintaining a client-focused approach through organization, professionalism, and a welcoming demeanor towards prospective and current students.
  • Utilizing knowledge of customer service principles to assess needs, meet quality standards, and evaluate satisfaction.
  • Taking and relaying accurate messages, including essential information about the call and caller.
  • Providing general information such as campus addresses, directions, and related inquiries.
  • Greeting and guiding visitors at the campus.
  • Handling incoming mail by sorting and distributing it accordingly.
  • Facilitating the pick-up and delivery of express mail services (FedEx, UPS, etc.).
  • Assisting with clerical duties such as photocopying, faxing, filing, and collating as needed.
  • Managing student identification badges, including issuing new badges and replacing lost ones.
  • Submitting attendance records and distributing student supplies following established protocols.
  • Composing professional verbal and written communications with minimal supervision.
  • Ensuring confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA, FERPA, and applicable regulations.

Additional duties may be assigned as required.

To be successful in this role, candidates should meet the following qualifications:

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent; an Associate’s Degree from an accredited institution is preferred.
  • A minimum of two years of clerical or administrative experience.
  • A high level of professionalism and discretion when handling confidential information.
  • Proficiency in word processing and Excel spreadsheet software.
  • Strong typing skills, with a minimum speed of 60 words per minute.
