Job description:

Front Desk Agents are essential to creating positive first impressions and ensuring an exceptional experience for our guests during their stay. This role involves greeting and registering guests, providing outstanding service, and settling accounts upon departure. The successful candidate will fulfill a variety of responsibilities, including registering guests, managing reservations, and acting as the hotel operator and concierge.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Greet and welcome all guests at the Front Desk, ensuring a friendly and warm demeanor.
  • Register guests efficiently and assist with inquiries regarding hotel services, facilities, and hours of operation.
  • Handle requests for information, mail, and messages in a courteous manner.
  • Maintain the operation of the telephone switchboard, meeting all performance standards set by Aimbridge Hospitality.
  • Establish a good rapport with guests by addressing their inquiries related to restaurants, transportation, entertainment, and other local attractions.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members and other hotel departments to foster a strong team environment.
  • Stay informed about hotel rates, packages, promotions, and in-house groups, as well as restricted dates.
  • Acquire all necessary information when taking room reservations and adhere to rate quoting protocols.
  • Administer check-in and check-out processes efficiently and courteously.
  • Operate the Front Desk computer system proficiently and ensure logging and delivery of packages, mail, and messages to guests and meeting rooms.
  • Comply with all Aimbridge Hospitality policies while maintaining a high standard of personal appearance and grooming.
  • Be knowledgeable about hotel products and guest services and be willing to assist with emergency procedures.
  • Promote a positive work environment through teamwork and a commitment to guest satisfaction.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support hotel operations and maintain a clean and organized work area.

Qualifications:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required; college coursework in a related field is preferred.
  • Previous experience in a hotel or related field is advantageous.
