Work Hours: Rotating shifts covering mornings, afternoons, and nights

Responsibilities:
In accordance with hotel standards, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following tasks:

  • Facilitate guest check-in and check-out processes
  • Operate Property Management System (PMS)
  • Handle cash and manage credit card transactions
  • Manage switchboard operations and maintain professional telephone etiquette
  • Implement front office emergency and security procedures
  • Make reservations for guest rooms and meeting spaces
  • Assist with administrative duties as assigned by management
  • Maintain a neat, tidy, and clean front desk area and lobby on a daily basis
  • Exercise minor decision-making skills within the role
  • Process group reservations and establish group blocks
  • Conduct sales of guest rooms for new arrivals and respond to phone inquiries
  • Adhere to all policies and procedures as outlined in the employee handbook
  • Present a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance in a proper uniform with nametag
  • Operate laundry equipment as directed
  • Uphold a professional demeanor in interactions with guests, associates, and vendors

Required Skills:

  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills in English; Spanish is a plus
  • Basic mathematical abilities
  • Legible handwriting
  • Computer literacy, including typing and keyboard skills
  • Competence in operating a 10-key calculator
  • Friendly and civil interaction with the public
