Job description:

This role provides vital administrative and clerical support in a customer service capacity within a medical environment at Ascension Medical Group in Southfield, MI. The schedule is from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Key responsibilities include:

  • Welcoming patients and visitors, managing the check-in and check-out processes, and ensuring the collection of necessary documentation. This includes the verification and entry of demographic information.
  • Securing and verifying insurance authorizations and precertifications, as well as processing medical record release requests and scheduling or confirming patient appointments.
  • Daily entry, review, and submission of charges for patient procedures and services, along with collecting co-payments and reconciling all daily reports and deposits for accuracy.
  • Providing general office and clerical support to the designated area.

Education and Experience Required:

Candidates must possess a high school diploma or its equivalent, or have at least one year of relevant cumulative job-specific experience.
